Our story
Founded in Copenhagen in 2014, Audientes aims to make smart, high-quality hearing aids and advanced hearables accessible and affordable to everyone who needs them. We achieve this by designing, developing and bringing to market innovative assisted hearing solutions.
Today 500 million people suffer from disabling hearing loss. By 2050, that number is expected to reach 900 million. We plan to address this global health challenge by bringing our affordable hearing aid to the millions of hearing impaired people around the world who need it.

Steen Thygesen

Steen Thygesen is CEO of Audientes A/S, the parent company. Steen holds an MBA from London Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Copenhagen University College. Steen has held executive positions within strategy, sales and management in technology companies such as Star, Nokia Denmark, Microsoft, Symbian PLC and TDC.
Hiroshi Maeda
President and Director
Hiroshi is a graduate of the State University of New York. He has held a number of strategic positions in companies such as Motorola, where he was responsible for launching the mobile phone business, as well as director of business strategy for smartphone platforms at Symbian, Microsoft and Nokia. Since 2015, he has established Japan subsidiaries and held director positions for Wiko, Cloudmade and Star. Most recently he has established United Innovations Co., Ltd. in Japan.
Jun Munakata
Advisory Board Member
Jun Munakata joined NEC Corporation in 1983 and was involved in international business at the company's overseas group, NEC Scandinavia and NEC Europe. In 2000, he joined Microsoft Co., Ltd. (now Microsoft Japan Co., Ltd.), where he has served as Head of OEM Sales and as Executive Officer in numerous roles. In 2016, he joined the NEC Lenovo Japan Group, where he concurrently served as Executive Managing Director of NEC Personal Computers Ltd. and Executive Senior Managing Director of Lenovo Japan Ltd.. He served as President of the Group's Consumer Business and Advisor.
Hossein Jelveh

Founder of Audientes in 2014 CTO since 27/08/2018. Hossein founded Audientes in 2014. He has worked in product R&D for over 30 years and has broad experience in the hearing aid industry, the wireless industry and the small mobile/medical device domain, as well as 20+ years of SW development experience.
Owns 2,255,010 shares in Audientes A/S through fully controlled holding company Jelveh Holding ApS. Privately holds 270,000 warrants in Audientes A/S.
